Cross border lovers Cross border lovers Kiss me in the mist of the waterfall If this ain’t it, I wanna feel it all So elated, separated now Two years ago we both made a pact When I go all in, oh, I won’t go back Oh, I wanna see this through but I don’t know how Do you miss me, baby? Do you miss me, baby, baby? We are cross border lovers and we’re making up time Cross border lovers and we’re ready to cross the line Cross border lovers Cross border lovers Throw down the needle on our favourite song Sway with me over the telephone No matter what I do you’re still out of reach So listen to the sound of the fallin’ rain Let the headlights cover everything Reunited, all I want to be Do you miss me, baby? Do you miss me, baby, baby? We are cross border lovers and we’re making up time Cross border lovers and we’re ready to cross the line Cross border lovers Cross border lovers I go through the day and nobody knows That half my heart’s living in Colorado Unrequited, always out of reach Do you miss me, baby? Do you miss me, baby, baby? Do you miss me, baby, baby? We are cross border lovers and we’re making up time Cross border lovers and we’re ready to cross the line Cross border lovers Cross border lovers (Cross border lovers) Cross border lovers (Cross border lovers) Cross border lovers

I used to run and hide when anybody said something nice I used to walk away before they could say goodbye And I used to be scrappy — after all, I’m from the Steel City But now I’m tired of the fight, oh I’m too tired to fight Can’t get enough of you, you’re the kind of man that I want by my side Can’t get enough of you, you’re my kind of man, and I need you tonight Knowing what you know now, would you do it all again? Would you wait in that restaurant, when we were drunk off our faces, And I told you I loved you in a parking lot I let it slip in Milwaukee, when the pavement was hot Can’t get enough of you, you’re the kind of man that I want by my side, Can’t get enough of you, you’re my kind of man and I need you tonight Yeah you can hold the door And you can show me some courtesy Be honest and true And you can give up your window seat Treat my friends with respect And my family kind And even if I am wrong Let me think that I’m right Can’t get enough of you, you’re the kind of man that I want by my side Can’t get enough of you, you’re my kind of man and I need you tonight When I see you now, and everything that you’ve become Everything you’ve taken on, and then some Can’t get enough of you, you’re the kind of man that I want by my side Can’t get enough of you, you’re my kind of man and I need you tonight Can’t get enough of you, you’re the kind of man that I want by my side Can’t get enough of you, you’re my kind of man and I need you tonight Oh, I can’t get enough of you, oh I need you tonight

You gotta get it together You can’t tell when things are going right It’s true there’s been stormy weather But you’re sending water where there’s no fire You know who you wanna be But there’s no path to make it look easy And you’re playing it cool But you ain’t fine Here comes the only thing you’ve ever known as true You’ve been believing something that made you feel so second-rate And it’s a long way down And who hasn’t been there before When you’re all turned on And you’ve gotta get to something more, more, more You keep telling me That you’ve been thinking it over But I don’t sense any end in sight You’ve been giving up your precious time While you’re staring at a mountain to climb When are you gonna see, gonna see the light Here comes the only thing you’ve ever known as true You’ve been believing something that made you feel so second-rate And it’s a long way down And who hasn’t been there before When you’re a long time gone And you’ve gotta get to something more, more, more Here comes the only thing you’ve ever known as true You’ve been believing something that made you feel so second-rate And made you feel so second-rate And it’s a long way down, And who hasn’t been there before When you’re a long time gone And you’ve gotta get to something more You’ve just gotta get to something more Oh you’ve gotta get to something more, more, more

Someone else’s feelings, they came tumblin’ down the stairs And they’d never been more drunk They didn’t mean to break the table Someone else’s feelings followed me all the way home And they burst in through the door Left all the lights on, no one’s home Maybe it’s you that I’ve been waiting on, waiting on, waiting on Maybe it’s you that I’ve been waiting on Someone else’s feelings, they kept quiet in the car, All their politics and principles hidden where nobody could argue Someone else’s feelings stood there and took one for the team And the silence seemed to spread out over the lips of everybody Maybe it’s you that I’ve been waiting on, waiting on, waiting on Maybe it’s you that I’ve been waiting on You came walking down the street Asking if I could remember when was the last time I felt free And I said “Oh, I can’t remember” “Oh, I can’t remember” Someone else’s feelings hung that picture in the hall But now it’s not much more than shadow, a little darkness on the wall Someone else’s feelings, they came cryin’ on the wind Such a hollow, heavy sound, I never want to hear again Maybe it’s you that I’ve been waiting on, waiting on, waiting on Maybe it’s you that I’ve been waiting on Oh you came waltzing down the street Asking if I could remember when was the last time I felt free And I said “Oh, I can’t remember” (Someone else’s feelings) “Oh, I can’t remember” (Someone else’s feelings) “Oh, I can’t remember” (Someone else’s feelings) “Oh, I can’t remember” (Someone else’s feelings) “Oh, I can’t remember”

I coulda kept you in my pocket for another time, true I coulda waited for tomorrow, but I’m missing you If you had felt what I had burning inside You’d know that I’ve been reeling from a losing fight Why don’t you stay? Why don’t you stay? We coulda waited for the moment, but we didn’t have time I wanted you to feel it, just to know you’re mine You’re a rose of many colours and you’re keeping me in bloom Can’t stand another minute when I’m missing you Why don’t you stay? Why don’t you stay? Why don’t you stay? Why don’t you stay? (Why don’t you stay?) (Why don’t you stay?) (Why don’t you stay?) (Why don’t you stay?) Stay

I remember every piece of it You were looking out at the rain You jumped down the porch steps into it Onto the roof of the taxi cab waiting You walked away without a scratch After you crashed through the glass coffee table You raised your arms to the sky and said “Everybody wants to be this high” You are the only one of your kind Everybody laughed ’til everybody cried RSVP Please I read it on your birthday party invitation You told me we should dress up fancy And then you took us all for dinner at the Irving Gas Station You are the only one of your kind Everybody laughed ’til everybody cried Chelsea Ann You got married right to the wrong man And now that you’re a divorcée I’m pretty sure we all ought to be that way On Fairleigh Avenue We’ll talk in the car ’til our lips turn blue And I will always stand by you No matter how the years flow by You are the only one of your kind Everybody laughs ’til everybody cries You are the only one of your kind

“Take your hands off me,” she said “Unless you wanna wind up dead… You’ve been biting off way more than you can chew” “Keep your poison to yourself Yeah, leave it there on the shelf There’s no needle here you could push it through” You’ve been around for a little while You’ve been doing what you’re hoping is right You’ve been blue and green and in-between You might have just missed everything It’ll come back around It’ll come back around It’ll come back around It’ll come back around Were you shamed? Was it preordained? Is there someone else that you could blame? Scrolling through your address book to find another name And are they really worse off than you? Have they done things you would never do? Or are you just like them and so afraid you are the same? You’ve been around for a little while You’ve been doing what you’re hoping is right You’ve been blue and green and in-between You might have just missed everything It’ll come back around It’ll come back around It’ll come back around It’ll come back around You’ve been around for a little while You’ve been doing what you’re hoping is right You’ve been blue and green and in-between You might have just missed everything It’ll come back around It’ll come back around It’ll come back around It’ll come back around

When you gonna give up your love When you gonna say “It’s been hard enough” When you gonna admit defeat and say “Things were brighter when you were with me” I don’t wanna run in the other direction I don’t wanna play sleight of hand I was so young but I got recollection That I wasn’t part of your plan You wanted anybody, anyone but me You wanted anybody, anyone but me Am I gonna turn out the same? Am I the bird or am I the cage? Do I have my father’s eyes? Who’s gonna walk me down that aisle? I don’t wanna turn the page in your story ’Cause I don’t wanna be let down Nobody came when I got a new name Yeah, you did not make a sound You wanted anybody, anyone but me You wanted anybody, anyone but me You, you know I would have followed you but who could I expect to stand up and protect me When you wanted anybody, anyone but me You wanted anybody, anyone but me When you gonna give up your love When you gonna say it’s been hard enough I don’t wanna run in the other direction I don’t wanna pay that price But I never asked to stand in your reflection I don’t wanna keep playing nice When you wanted anybody, anyone but me You wanted anybody, anyone but me Anybody, anyone but me You wanted anybody, anyone but me

Fired My Man 03:08
Racing through just one of many lessons But try as I might, I was not progressing Oh, I couldn’t keep up with what was right in front of me And I couldn’t stand up on the sidewalk in New York City All my houseplants were barely hangin’ on It was emergency rescue, each time I made it home And the sun it still streamed into that beautiful apartment But if I wasn’t there, then did it ever really happen? How did I let this get so out of hand? No plan for my flight, no place to land How did I let this get so out of hand? I turned in my key, and I fired my man Took a crosswalk picture of Hamilton skies but somewhere deep down, I knew that something wasn’t right And If I hadn’t stopped dead at the flashing yellow light Well on King Street, baby, I nearly died How did I let this get so out of hand? No plan for my flight, no place to land How did I let this get so out of hand? I turned in my key, and I fired my man

600 stairs to the redwood sea The moon lights the way to the shipwreck beach Slow-moving hands under crisp white sheets Like the current moves under the waves so wide I still see you there by the Oceanside Rolling away with each pulling tide And it’s hard to get over It’s hard to get down It’s hard to give up And it’s hard to be around you You can tell me you’re sorry while you’re watching the ground and say You’ve got a penchant for love Like the spot on the floor that always creaks I remember the time we couldn’t keep I wanted to tell you but I could not speak It’s still 500 steps to that windowpane 400 ways we’ll never be again Now I’m 300 miles down a memory lane And it’s hard to get over It’s hard to get down And it’s hard to give up And it’s hard to be around you You can tell me you’re sorry while you’re watching the ground and say You’ve got a penchant for love You’ve got a penchant for pushing me around You’ve got a penchant for love You’ve got a penchant for pushing me around It was different back then, But it’s just difficult now Now the touch of your hand Is only bringing me down You can tell me you’re sorry While you’re watching the ground and say You’ve got a penchant for love You’ve got a penchant for love You’ve got a penchant for love You’ve got a penchant for love

I had you put up on a pedestal ’Cause you were keeping me fed And I don’t wanna get too sentimental No, I mean it No, I mean it Let it sink in Just let it sink in You left your scraps upon the table You told me that I was just dreamin’ It took me years to dry those tears before I Stopped believing ya and started leavin’ ya Let it sink in Let it sink in You don’t get me now You don’t get me now It don’t matter how But I’m doing better without you I’m doing better without you I keep replaying the movie And I’m not the superhero. I pray the villains that I know In their conclusion, find resolution Let it sink in Let it sink in You don’t get me now You don’t get me now It don’t matter how But I’m doing better without you I’m doing better without you You don’t get me now You don’t get me now You don’t get me now You don’t get me now I’m doing better without you I’m doing better without you I’m doing better without you I’m doing better without you

Out Of Time 03:38
Changing colours and changing tides We made it back from the coast in three nights You told me, “Honey I gotta fly down to Mississippi, alright?” “Down to Mississippi, alright?” So I stood at the river’s edge, hoping that I’d never fall in Oh, the current. Oh, the water. Oh, the shape I’ve been in Oh, the shape I’ve been in I love you darlin’, show me your worst mistake I know it weighs on you, but I don’t see it that way I’ll love you, darling, until the seas run dry I’ll love you like we’ve run out of time Love you like we’ve run out of time I laid on a mountaintop under the prettiest tree in Austria Found a place that felt like home, and no one else was trying to get in I passed you on the roughest seas, where we both learned how to swim Oh, the current. Oh, the water. Oh, the shape I’ve been in Oh, the shape I’ve been in I love you darlin’, show me your worst mistake I know it weighs on you, but I don’t see it that way I’ll love you, darling, until the seas run dry I’ll love you like we’ve run out of time I’ll love you like we’ve run out of time I walked down in the ground with you by my side You read the writing on the wall from 1975 I love you darlin’, show me your worst mistake I know it weighs on you, but I don’t see it that way I’ll love you, darling, until the seas run dry I’ll love you like we’ve run out of time I’ll love you like we’ve run out of time I’ll love you like we’ve run out of time
